Description

A kinetic sculpture, activated by air currents.

Nineteen black-white rectangular tubes are hung from a strong thin thread, in an elaborate way that offers several degrees of freedom. The tubes can move and rotate with the slightest air currents, making the artwork responsive to movement in space. Thus, the work ‘socializes’ with the presence of people in the room, while it can stay still when no life exists around.
The result is a continuously-changing pattern that alludes to infinite combinations of bar-codes, like those used in mass-produced products.
