Description
As part of the soundscape of Sara Gebran’s multidisciplinary project Forests’ tales of repair, Frogpeckers generate a captivating interplay of movement and sound – like a living organism – echoing both the rhythmic calls of frogs and the percussive tapping of woodpeckers.
Drawing inspiration from the familiar wooden frog percussion instrument, these sculptures translate Koutsouris’ refined engineering methods into mechanical structures that evoke surprisingly organic and natural behaviors.
